The Role

At Club HUE, The Front Desk/Host is one of the first points of contact for members and guests before being seated for their dining experience. As a Front Desk/Host, you are responsible for greeting guests, answering all incoming calls, texts, chats, emails, and creating reservations for the Club’s Dining Room / Bar, and assisting members with club amenities, partners, and reciprocals. 

The Front Desk/Host has acute organizational and people skills which often is infectious and promotes positive experience from the moment anyone arrives up until their departure. Responsibilities also include excellent service to all guests, members and staff friendliness, professional, and organizational efficiency. 

As a Front Desk/Host you are required to master the phone, reservations, and CRM systems, have a warm and friendly attitude, ensure all anticipated covers are accounted for during service and tables are ready for the reservation’s arrival. 


Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years experience in a similar role

  • Must have table reservation and point of sales experience. Seven Rooms, PeopleVine and Toast a plus.

  • Must have experience answering high volume phone lines and answering inquiries professionally, timely and to the best of abilities.

  • Problem solving skills and bring conflict resolution to any anticipated or current matter.

  • Detail oriented, articulate and ability to multi-task in a demanding work environment. 

  • Strong communication skills and ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed

  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hood objects with hands.

  • Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8-10  hours.

  • Fast paced movements occasionally required to go from one part of the club to others.

  • Must be able to understand and communicate clearly with guests, members, and coworkers.

  • Must be able to reach and handle computer/tablet, keyboard and desktop items.

  • Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch, and climb as required

Responsibilities

  • Ensure every member and guest is welcomed by name and new guests are welcomed in a hospitable manner that is friendly, not familiar. 

  • Answer high-volume phone lines and confidently answer standard Q&A regarding menus, hours of operation, amenities, partners, reciprocal clubs, general inquiries, deliveries, messages for members and from employees; among other inquiries in full and with complete detail. 

  • Create reservations for the club bar/ dining room and assist managers on the floor with service standards and service execution. 

  • Provide accuracy, friendliness and discretion with all calls and interactions with members, guests and staff.

  • Work well in both the front desk (member check-in) and host desk (dining room/bar) to ensure excellent service for members and open dialogue is hard to manage expectations properly. 

  • Build relationships with members and guests and communicate any red flags and positive feedback to management to assess.

  • Influence a fun and positive environment by being approachable and professional.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
